Dan Perjovschi was born in Sibiu, Romania in 1961 and spent his childhood and youth in the Socialist Republic of Romania. Under the neo-Stalinist dictator Nicolae Ceauşescu, from 1965 until his execution in 1989, Romania was turned into a total surveillance state. This group is dedicated to documenting the artworks of the Romanian artist Dan Perjovschi, whose delightful and witty graffiti usually have only a very short life-span in the world's modern art galleries and museums.
